马口铁盒子比较常见的包装是光油，其次是哑油，还有一些防护油的特效，比如爆油、橘皮油、皱纹油、橡胶油等，但这种特效表达出来的效果往往很极端，很难被大众消费者接受，虽然目前这些特殊印刷效果的成本并不高，但很少有马口铁盒使用这种效果。
①光油：保色性能好，能提高印刷颜色的亮度，色彩饱满，有光泽度，符合消费者的传统审美习惯。
②哑光：基于光油和哑光油的效果，在铁片上经过一层光油后，局部印刷哑光油，突出光泽和触感的区别，突出要传达的关键信息，相对复杂，哑光效果，四周黑色哑光处理，中间“V8”光油凸显品牌重点。
③哑光油：与光油效果相反，使马口铁盒表面变得暗淡无光，像纸一样，具有古典优雅的装饰效果，橘皮油：会让铁片有相应的触感，触感细腻，有防滑效果，之所以叫橘皮油，是因为马口铁表面颇像橘皮表面的纹路。
④橡胶油：这个效果比较贵，用这种油，感觉很柔软，有点像织物触感，完全没有熨斗的感觉。
⑤爆炸油：使铁盒表面有一层不规则的爆纹，开裂，摸起来有点凹凸，光线的反射使精美的印花图案充满立体感，极具观赏性。
马口铁盒的印刷方法：
说到打印方法，目前有很多种不同的打印方式，一般常用四色印刷、专色印刷、白色印刷等，下面详细讲解。
1.四色印刷：术语也称为柯式印刷，有黑、红、黄、蓝四种准色，通过配色调整，印出不同的图案。
2.专色印刷：这个是调出来的颜色，不是四色印刷，只要客户自己选。
3.印白：这是把一部分印成白色，其他部分是马口铁的原色。
4.白磁：即整体为白色。
其实马口铁盒子除了印图案，还可以印3D效果，专业的话就是凸，常见的月饼盒、曲奇盒都有一种特殊的凸起效果，不管是什么样的铁盒包装，其实铁盒的材质和印刷质量真的能和产品有直接的关系。
